How This Social Entrepreneur Is Building a Better Veterans and Seniors Cannabis Community in Las Vegas

 Every Veteran that has help fight for this country, Should not be forgotten, or The Baby Boomers who have help build the foundation of America. They should not, Be treated like an outcast, I am Vanessa, an advocate for this 60 plus demographic group, Because,  Their Rights are being denied. 

Many of Them relocated to Las Vegas, For health reasons, choosing to moving to the warmer climate, Because of their health. There are 18.2 Veterans living in America. according to United States Department of Veterans Affairs  ---------

Las Vegas draws in Retired Seniors, because they have many affordable, Senior Communities, and Housing Complexes.  Whether it's because of their financial situation, or if they have downsized, because of the death of a spouse. The Senior Communities have become their choice , for a place to call home, The Veterans & Senior Communities are suppose to be thriving,  in thriving communities, people have access to resources and support to gain equitable access to comprehensive healthcare, and affordable housing. But, not in this state. In this 60 plus small community of veterans & seniors,  most are suffering from pain and other health related ailments.  .

They are now, living with pain, without any medications, Why ? because, they made a choice to try an alternative medications, while also living in subsidized housing, most are on fixed incomes, and have had to save up money, to pay for their own, MMJ cards which could cost up to $300. each, although many are still active, and capable of driving and living active lifestyles. There are still some, that are not so active,  living there, that are shut ends, This community have had to look out for their own, Because, Some of them have no one else. The Opioid Additions among this Veterans & Seniors, Is far too real, In these Communities, and many having decided to get off of Opioids, all together, having seen the effects of the opioids, are having on their friends, or deaths.  

  Yet, Their Doctors continue to prescribed them, sometimes, in even higher doses, these additive drugs, are taking a toll on these Seniors.  Some have made a choice to stop taking this pain medications. Having decided to get off of opioids prescribed by their own doctors, Was their own, choice, an in making the choice,  to use alternative medicine like Cannabis and/or CBD.

These Veterans & Seniors are learning more about cannabis, everyday, Taking it,  In the form of Cannabis infused cakes and cookies, They are beginning to get medical marijuana cards, becoming MMJ Patients, and with Cannabis 100% Legalized in the State of Nevada, They Didn't think anything would be wrong with it, but many are now being evicted from their homes because of it.  Or being threated to being evicted, Now, many are loosing their places. Why, are these Veterans and Seniors Being Denied Their Medications. 

Why ? 

Don't They Have The Same Rights,  As Any Other MMJ Patients or Card Holder ?

In The State of Nevada ?

Apparently not, that's the reason why,
